The BCJC Live app uses augmented reality to imagine alternative development strategies by creating the potential for youth driven, community led development along the Belmont Corridor in Brownsville, Brooklyn. By reactivating these spaces virtually, the hope is to generate local stakeholdership and investment needed to change the built environment. In addition to acting as a conduit for local artists and innovators, the app also acts as a virtual marketplace where community members can generate income without upfront marketplace costs. The app, ideas, implementation, and works featured in galleries are all created by and for youth who have been historically marginalized from discourses around development, economics, and technology.

BCJC Live was hosted throughout the Brownsville community in fall of 2017 and exhibited at the 2017 MAS Summit for New York City.
